The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 一直很爱看国外的绘本电影，很高兴看到我国也能有这种风格的动画电影。
题材很新颖 但看的时候总觉得很别扭 和往日的同性题材的影片很不一样 聚焦于同性夫夫和儿子的家庭问题 还是推荐一看
值得！各有千秋，喜欢3、5、6、7，儿童片中的文艺片，小观众可能看不太懂，有些情节甚至对于成年人都比较晦涩难懂，比熊出没之流好太多了
我看完就推荐给朋友，最适合一家人的集体活动。爸爸妈妈不用担心枯燥，除了小兔略微低幼，其他的也能让你回忆起童年。
像在一个秋天，刚下过雨，地面上的水不多，地上的落叶也被打扫干净了，我刚在家里吃完凯撒沙拉，因为受不了家里的争吵，骑着自行车去找我的朋友，找我的对象，不过我还是带着钥匙，因为我知道我还得回家，因为家里有我爱的家人。
向法国绘本动画精神靠拢。更喜后三个，《哼将军和哈将军》最有创意，《外婆的蓝色铁皮柜轮椅》和《翼娃子的星期天》关照了农村和城市外来人口的底层亲情群像。
不适合低龄小孩看。电影院里就两家人在看，看的人是真少。小火车那个看哭了。
感觉是一部很难得的电影。电影有时候是在反映一个社会的现状，只有说社会发展到这个阶段了，才能看到这个阶段的矛盾。能看到这样的很好地呈现同性家庭养育的孩子、夫夫多年关系之后可能的分离状态、孩子在这个夫夫过程当中会经历的伤痛，以及同性伴侣与孩子生育母亲关系真的是很感谢和珍惜。
这样的治愈画风再来多少我都看……萤火虫女孩很童心，人果然要善良，不为别人为自己的善良。小火车即使猜出来了，但光出来那一霎那，还是泪目了。糖水铺的转场太棒了，希望女儿早日回来。哼哈将军太可爱了，生动有趣，兄弟情啊，别扭又温馨。冀娃子的作文写的真好。
小兔的身影在墙上照片的游走；镜头从蒯老伯的芝麻糊到城市运转、前者对后者的提喻；背景动画呈现了城市空间跟随行进的人在一张张原画下的飘逸，以及城市中到处充满着和翼娃子那样做作业的孩子……这些现实为基底的动画所呈现的一种共性是，动画做到了不只是将镜头聚焦于生活于此处现实的人，而且还呈现了现实中难以注意的人与世界的相互作用，这种无形的作用力在动画中被赋予形体，动画形式的突变让这些隐藏于现实世界的奇幻能被观众直观看见，最终这份默默的奇幻也被揭开了面纱，我们恍然大悟其名为“时间”。
画风各异，质量良莠不齐。 ①兔子，为了偷懒完全不画嘴，水墨画风好看。
爱时用力爱，恨时用力恨。最后还是为了孩子，对孩子才是真爱！
有点drama 不过这就是意大利。男女颜值都好高，甜甜的学生恋爱，我也想拥有。
翼娃子的星期天
外婆铁皮柜的风格我很喜欢～阳光从皂角树的树叶间隙中透下来的那一幕真美啊～
照亮童年，为爱发光！七个导演七部短片，都十分令我动容。《蒯老伯的糖水铺》里面细节满满，声音设计上十分惊喜，听着很是亲切。《小火车》咋一看人物设计上有些许不“好看”，但越是进入到故事里头，越是觉得美术上好呀。与好友在这篇故事里相视一哭，啊哈哈。《外婆的蓝色铁皮柜轮椅》也是本电影里面最让人思考良多的篇章，像散文，真的很美。感谢中国动画人的付出！
自己的绘本作品《哼将军哈将军》第一次被改编作为其中一个故事搬上银幕，改编的部分让故事更好更完整了，定格动画的呈现也完全体现出导演刘高翔在背后的辛苦付出。感谢电影团队～
外婆的故事，画面真的一如刘导之前的作品，没想到在大屏幕上竟然如此舒服，主题是关于死亡，单单此片就值得一看。
问一个问题，求个回答：蒯伯伯的故事发生在哪里？香港还是大陆？为什么汽车向左行驶，但是街牌却是简体字呐
寓言？更多说教！
