如同所有系列剧改编的通病，内容与角色的庞杂被强行塞入电影体量，导致叙事难以深入，老夫人情史的交代又缺乏情感支撑，元电影更使本就浮皮潦草的剧情雪上加霜。从流水账的效果看，编剧显然低估了同时驾驭《雷雨》与《雨中曲》的难度。
