The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 没头没尾，像是讲了一个古驰家族的小故事，非常非常平庸的一部电影，没想到scott导演能拍出那么平庸的电影
首先剧情的真实性就有点问题，人物行为有逻辑可是极度幼稚，所有男性角色都像是gaga的大玩具，这种为了突出女主角就把所有锅丢给一个外人的刻画，对历史真的是很不尊重的；另外呈现的效果也完全是流水账，结婚、传家、内斗、崩盘每一个节点，都和电影里的时装秀一样突出一个随便拍拍。表演方面，莱托妆画的不错，但明显用力过猛，其他人的发挥也没什么值得称道的地方...不推荐任何人观看。
关于金钱和权利如何让一对原本相爱的恋人互相憎恨并杀掉其中一个的流水账。故事主要卖点是猎奇，真实改编。节奏莫名其妙，毫无疑问女主在推动所有剧情。她尬追男主，追上了要结婚生孩子，她要帮丈夫夺回gucci，她要干掉敌人，她要杀掉丈夫。而她从始至终都是一以贯之的狼性，不是改变的那个，夺回权力前后人格改变的是丈夫。这个电影违背了基本的电影规则。多给一星为了摄影灯光。还有亚当和gaga贡献的XXOO。道德观可以说是一塌糊涂。对男主和Gaga都无法共情…………
又臭又长，是怎么把古驰家族这么狗血的故事拍的如此无聊的啊，看完一个角色都想不起来
任何都是选择 所以我选择打4星。有些不明白 但是也为我展现了一些我不是太明白的故事 给了我没想过的视角。况且演员很靓。

那些鼓吹的所谓奢侈品文化与故事，原来就是这样一个故事？好吧，这样的故事并不会让人对品牌有任何好感，弱化了设计的品牌满溢着狗血文化。
叙述节奏没把握好，有时显得很零散，没有特别的起伏和高潮，直到后半程临近尾声的地方才比较抓人。整体的艺术设计令人失望，就很平淡，和Gucci的调性也不相符。演员里帕西诺最出彩，开云老板娘我很喜欢，男女主尤其男主并不令人印象深刻。6.5星
AMC Shirlington 7｜3.5，最重要的放前面，看完了才知道有Jared Leto，完全认不出来（。还挺好看的，叙事节奏有点像All the money in the world，是会有人觉得乏味无趣。Gaga很适合这个角色，把虚荣野心悍妇的角色塑造得很好，司机算是正常发挥，建议眼镜半永久。
本片表面看來是一部挑戰禁忌的作品，實際內容和表現手法都相當保守，缺乏一定的活力和激情。編導在處理校園相戀到投身社會的過程的成長過程，缺乏大量細節描繪，如流水線一般帶過的故事線，無法呈現主角在面對感情抉擇時的說服力，既沒有對愛情，友情的錯摸，試探以及掙扎，也沒有強調年輕的叛逆，對僵化體制的反抗，一切如同蜻蜓點水般。每場戲情緒未到就草草收場，顯示了編導的信心不足，在掌控節奏上欠缺章法。效仿同類型青春片的純樸，潔凈色調，不僅沒有烘托角色的化學作用，反而讓全片更是女主角的父親對女兒情感一廂情願的無知想象。
只是觉得偏题了 家族的概念在哪里 就gaga他俩的感情史 既然是古驰家族！玩儿时尚的 时装设计的内容展现好少 为什么一点都看不到他们那个年代的时髦 2.5
断裂开，看不到人物，也看不到关系，感觉像保研生交大四选修课的作业。
把百合题材当噱头塞到青春偶像剧的壳子里，只有四个字：不伦不类。真实经历？纯属放p。互相那么猛烈的爱过，却在初恋婚礼上边自我催眠自我感动我们是永远的好盆友边相拥而泣，真想给导演个大耳lei。打高分的都是侄女？？

20211130-cinemark thertre-也许是传记（？）的缘故是一部前半部分还算紧凑后半部分节奏基本消失且起承转合缺了一块总觉得有点不完全的感觉。不了解gucci家族故事的人看着会觉得有点莫名其妙。
